The Young American Shakespeare Festival
May 9-19 at CTC
Three Plays by William Shakespeare:
THE WINTER'S TALE
Every year, CTC’s Walden Theatre Conservatory students and staff put together this festival celebrating the works of the Bard. This year’s plays are Macbeth, The Winter’s Tale, and Henry V—three kings and three very different outcomes. The Young American Shakespeare Festival is the largest and longest-running such Festival by and for young people in the nation.
Directed by Hallie Dizdarevic, music directed by Meg Caudill

Spurred on by a prophecy and emboldened by his ambitious wife, Macbeth murders the king of Scotland and seizes the crown for himself. But power comes at a steep price as his tyranny and paranoia leave allies dead or fleeing for their lives. Even his wife succumbs to madness in this bloody and tragic fall of a once brave leader.
