In this workshop, writers will explore the world of haiku and its associated writing forms. Through a series of contemporary readings and writing exercises (including an Urban Nature Walk), writers will familiarize themselves with the fundamental elements of the form--the value of breath, clarity of image, and power of juxtaposition.
Dates: January 13, 20, 2 and February 3, 10 and 17
Time: Sunday afternoons from 1 -3 pm.
Venue: 21C Museum Hotel, 700 West Main Street.
**These classes will conclude with a student reading that is open to the public on February 19, from 6-8 pm at 21 C Museum Hotel.
